I wrote for the Spectator on the month I spent in a Lebanese jail this summer. Initially detained while working for an NGO in the Bekaa Valley, I was held in appalling conditions in a detention centre with Syrian refugees. While I got out, thousands of others are still trapped in a system designed to harass refugees, forcing them back across the border to Syria.
My article discuss this experience in the wider context of regime change in Syria.
